WINE 2009 Sauvignon Blanc JUST RELEASED
REGION Mount Benson, South Australia
COMPOSITION 100% Sauvignon Blanc
NOSE A classic Sauvignon Blanc, showing intense guava aromas and a grassy, passionfruit complexity.
COLOUR Pale straw with hints of green.
PALATE A fully rounded wine with a soft palate structure from extended lees contact. This wine exudes grassy notes and tropical complexities. A superb mouth feel with a long and lively finish. A joy to consume!
WINEMAKING This fine wine is from grapes grown in the mild maritime Mount Benson wine region, a region which is quickly gaining a reputation as a producer of classic Sauvignon Blanc.

WINE 2008 Autumn Harvest Botrytis Chardonnay  
REGION Coonawarra, South Australia
COMPOSITION Chardonnay
NOSE Candied pear and apricots with hints of citrus peel.
COLOUR Golden straw
PALATE Luscious palate with apricots, mandarin and white peach. Fruit sweetness is balanced by a refreshing finish.
WINEMAKING This fruit was left to hang on the vines until the very end of harvesting with picking occurring in late May. This extended time on the vine allowed for the noble rot to set in and concentrate the sugar in the berries to a high level.

WINE 2007 Chardonnay  
REGION Coonawarra, South Australia
COMPOSITION Chardonnay, single vineyard
NOSE Fresh melons, honey, nougat and hints of blue cheese.
COLOUR Vibrant light straw with brilliant green tinges.
PALATE Honeydew and rockmelon fruits dominate with subtle hints of smooth oak that is well integrated towards the back palate with a nutty cream character that lingers through to a smooth finish.
WINEMAKING Fruit selected from vineyards grown on the northern portion of the famous terra rossa strip that is Coonawarra. The fruit was harvested in the cool of the night to help maintain the fresh fruit characteristics.Fruit was crushed, must chilled and cold pressed immediately. 90% of the ferment was stainless steel fermented to capture the most of the luscious melon fruit characters. The other 10% was fermented in new tight grain French oak hogshead, which was also allowed to go through full malo and aged on lees. A further 80% was matured on lees with partial malo in 3 year old French oak barriques for 10 months to add further complexity and depth to the wine. 10% of this has only been stored in stainless steel for additional freshness and primary fruit flavour's.

WINE 2008 Unoaked Chardonnay  
REGION Coonawarra, South Australia
COMPOSITION Chardonnay
NOSE A powerfully aromatic fresh tropical fruit salad with figs and cream.
COLOUR Classic pale straw.
PALATE Crisp and fruity but with a flavour length that continues to linger. Passionfruit, fresh melon and figs dominate with a subtle creaminess adds a pleasant weight and mouth feel, backed by a crisp acid backbone that carries through to the end.
WINEMAKING The Smith's Block Vineyard is situated directly across the road from the winery. The fruit was picked early in the season to capture the natural acid and fresh fruit flavour's. 100% of this wine was fermented in stainlessat low temperatures to capture and enhance the cool climate flavours. There was a short period of time spent on lees to smooth out the crispness of the natural acidity and then the wine was finished and sent to bottle as soon as possible so as not to lose the freshness that is typical of this style of Chardonnay.

WINE 2007 RESERVE Cabernet Sauvignon JUST RELEASED
REGION Coonawarra, South Australia
COMPOSITION 100% Cabernet
NOSE Strong cassis and rich blackcurrant fruits complimented by a nuance of tobacco are underlined with te unmistakable Coonawarra Cabernet earthiness.
COLOUR Dark brick red base with hints of amber on the edges.
PALATE Ripe blackcurrant and blackberry flavour's that are balanced with complex toasted oak overtones. This wine has the strength of elegant and classic Coonawarra Cabernet tannins.
WINEMAKING This wine is a fine example of Coonawarra Cabernet and such has warranted a 'reserve' label. The fruit was sourced from our 40 year old winery vineyard on Coonawarra's famous terra rossa strip.

WINE 2008 Pinot Noir JUST RELEASED
REGION Coonawarra, South Australia
COMPOSITION 100% Pinot Noir
NOSE A classic style Pinot Noir.
COLOUR Deep cherry red.
PALATE A classic Burgundian style Pinot Noir with complimentary smokey, bacon characteristics with a hint of cherry. A well structured wine with a lingering finish.
WINEMAKING The grapes from our 23 year old Smith's Block vineyard has produced an outstanding Pinot Noir of a style rarely produced in Coonawarra. This wine was hand plunged during open fermentation before aging in French Oak.

WINE RESERVE 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon

COMPOSITION Cabernet Sauvignon
NOSE Concentrated blackberry with toasty aromas.
COLOUR Deep plum and cherry red.
PALATE Intense berry fruit and a hint of chocolate and mint. The soft oak tannins and mouth filling fruit permeates through to the back palate and lingers longingly.
